Riesling 2011

Grown on an elevated shale soil to the east of Murrumbateman, this lively cool climate riesling shows subtle notes of crushed rose petals and freshly squeezed lime. A mouth watering natural acidity leads to a palate of balance and length.

Very green, talc and florals nose with a whisper of sugar. Very dry but juicy green juice palate. Not unripe but genuinely very tight. Great line through the finish with the sugar giving generosity. Would probably be a hard wine without the sugar but here it looksbalanced and very pure. A lovely Riesling with detail and style.  93 Points, Australian Wine Review-  August 25th  2011

Bright, crystal clear colour with faint, lifted floral aromatics and a swathe of limey perfume. Very delicate and linear with near brittle acidity – it feels ultra fresh and fine, lip-smackingly refreshing and brings out a prickle of sweat on your cheeks. An alpine coolness, green apples then dry with a shattered-glass tang in the finish. All angles, but the good kind, not overblowing the intensity and  acidity. Canberra District throwing down the gauntlet to other riesling producing regions, again…  93 Points, Drink: 2011-2018+' Mike Bennie, Winefront August 2011

Riesling 2010

Made from Canberra District grapes, the bouquet is still asleep, the palate anything but, with its unsweetened lemon and lime juice flavours underpinned by minerality.  Australian rieslings from the right regions are of world class.  94 Points, Drink: To 2025' James Halliday, Australian Wine Companion 2012

This small-batch riesling starts out all floral, then some fresh herbs, building sherbet-like lemon and lime citrus-fruit aromas, some spice, and fine crushed rocks - steely.  The palate's solid and delivers both flavour and texture, aiming lemon and grapefruit flavours straight down the middle.  Unwavering, long, dry and elemental.  93 Points, Drink: To 2016 ' Nick Stock, Sydney Morning Hearld Good Wine Guide 2011

'94/100 -  Utterly delicious young riesling, in a citrus scented style, with a note of cumquat.  There's lemon essence and lemon butter also.  It's delicate yet intense, subtly juicy and very vibrant, at the same time displaying softness and great drinkability. '

Huon Hooke, Gourmet Traveller Wine, December 2009.

'94/100Pretty to smell – lilies, vanilla, apple and lime and sort of crunchy to taste with pert acidity that’s also soft and balanced. It has slight chalkiness too which makes it seem firm yet fair. Lime and vanilla prettiness to close on the finish – and thus the symmetry is kept. Hmmmm. Very good. Lovely fruit. Deft winemaking. Top wine. Unsure of cellaring but why wait ?'

'93/100 - Fresh limes and lemons here, really fragerant, nicely defined citrus and mineral style.  The palate's built on fine acidity but carries a smooth textural side - good balance and freshness, forward enough to drink now, will hold nicely too. '
